The apostle John wrote this Gospel while he was in Ephesus, and was the youngest of the original disciples. He was the brother of James, and together, they were known as the Sons of Thunder. Tradition tells us that he is referring to himself when he writes about the disciple "whom Jesus loved." This book shows the supernatural nature of Jesus, stressing His deity, and lays out seven signs and miracles He performed. Nearly half of the verses in the Gospel of John are the words spoken by Christ.
