Although his first letter to the church at Corinth did a lot of good, Paul found out from Titus that there were still serious problems there. Much of this book is Paul's own testimony, and is largely a defense of his ministry against attacks from some carnal members of the church. He lays out his travels, disappointments, persecutions, and spiritual triumphs and stresses dedication to God in all circumstances.
