Category Description:

The church of Colosse was established by Timothy and Epaphras and Paul had never been there, but he wrote this letter to the church there after Epaphras came to visit him in prison and reported that, while the church there was growing, false teachers had settled in there and were diverting the church. Paul wrote this letter around 61 A.D., focusing on the errors of Gnosticism, including the worship of angels. He also talked about the error of Judaized Christianity.
