Joel C. Smith, founder of The Joshua Fund, is an evangelical Christian whose mother is a gentile and whose father is Jewish. He worked on the presidential campaign of Steve Forbes and did public relations work for former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu before writing the prophetic "The Last Jihad," based on the Book of Ezekiel and written in 2000 and 2001 about terrorists who flew planes into buildings in the U.S. That series was followed by the nonfiction "Epicenter."
