Aisha Ford was home schooled in a Christian home, and has earned a B.A. through an independent study program. She is one in a growing field of African-American inspirational fiction writers and has said that she wants to write material that positively represents African-Americans in that field. She sums her hopes about her writing this way: "The best guide for living is to follow the biblical example of Jesus Christ. No matter how hard it seems or no matter how much it may hurt to do things His way, God's way of living life will always be the best way. The route by which we will reap the most lasting rewards. But I also want to show that none of us are perfect, and even though we make mistakes, God is the inventor of grace, and He is patient above and beyond what we can ask or imagine."
