William Henry Harrison (February 9, 1773 – April 4, 1841) was the ninth President of the United States. He died thirty-one days after his inauguration, which made him the first President to die in office. His death caused the country to enter a constitutional crisis. Prior to his election to the office, he was the first Governor of the Indiana Territory. Later, he served as both a U.S. Representative and Senator from Ohio.
