• Center for Consumer Affairs  - Fosters consumer welfare through continuing education, applied research, and public service programs.
• Center for Intelligent Maintenance Systems  - Undertakes research to explore means for enabling products and systems to achieve and sustain near-zero breakdown performance.
• Center for Mathematics and Science Education Research  - Academic unit responsible for coordinating mathematics and science education research, teacher education, and curriculum development and implementation.
• Center for Research on International Economics  - Site provides information and updates on the center's activities, goals, staff. seminars, and research works.
• Center for Transportation Education and Development (CTED)  - Research and education center that aims to strengthen the role of transportation throughout North America.
• Center for Urban Initiatives and Research (CUIR)  - Provides policy choice and urban issues research services and technical assistance to public and non-profit organizations.
• Center for Women's Studies  - Facilitates women and gender-related issues research initiatives and course development.
• Decision Systems and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory  - Training and research facility aims to advance decision support technologies, multimodal human-machine communications, and medical informatics.
• Great Lakes WATER Institute  - Home to the Wisconsin Aquatic Technology and Environmental Research, the largest academic freshwater research facility on the Great Lakes.
• Harriet H. Werley Center for Nursing Research and Evaluation (WCNRE)  - Federal Faculty Research Development Grant funded center aims to develop and implement the research potential of the College of Nursing. Contains the office location and hours, staff, and contact details.
• Institute for Intercultural Research (IIR)  - Conducts research, public service, and information resource sharing activities that seek to address the needs and concerns of communities of color.
• Institute for Survey and Policy Research  - Social science research facility designed to provide research support services to UWM faculty and students.
• Institute on Aging and Environment  - Helen Daniels-Bader Charitable Trust funded facility created to promote research, scholarship, and service concerning environments for older persons.
• Multimedia Software Laboratory  - Engages in research focusing on software systems that integrate and manipulate multiple media.
