Medical College of Wisconsin, is a medical school in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is the result of the 1913 merger of two medical colleges: the Wisconsin College of Physicians and Surgeons and the Milwaukee Medical College. The two colleges became the Marquette University School of Medicine, but in 1967, Marquette University cut its ties with the medical school because of economic problems. This private medical school settled on its current name in 1970.
