  • Field Disease Investigation Unit (FDIU)  - Endeavor that involves the inspection and evaluation of all aspects of disease causation and management.
  • The People-Pet Partnership (PPP)  - Public service program aimed at promoting humane animal treatment. Also includes the endeavor to educate the public about the human-animal bond.
  • Veterinary Cardiac Genetics Laboratory  - Conducts studies on genetic feline heart disease and explores means to address or remedy such typically congenital defect.
  • Veterinary Teaching Hospital  - Clinical and academic facility established for the diagnosis, treatment and management of animal health.
  • Washington Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory  - Diagnostic reference facility created to help better the health of both humans and animals - to include livestock, pets, and the animal raisers and pet owners.
  • Zoonoses Research Unit (ZRU)  - Initiative on promoting food safety by investigating specific food- and water-borne zoonotic diseases.
