• Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center  - Facility created to fortify the southwest Virginia economy through the education and training of current and future workforce.
• Southwest Virginia Public Education Consortium  - Legislation-established association provides assistance and services for public school systems in a number of Southwest Virginia counties.
• Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service  - Policy analysis, research, and technical assistance center created to address issues related to change in the context of public service.
