• Center for Visual Science (CVS)  - Facility consisting of over 25 research laboratories specializing in vision research.
• College Center for Academic Support  - Information resource for undergraduates who have academic-related questions or concerns.
• Frederick Douglass Institute  - Facility dedicated to promoting African-American Studies in undergraduate and graduate education.
• Institute of Optics  - Academic department in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences established to prepare future leaders in the field of optics.
• Laboratory for Laser Energetics (LLE)  - Designated national resource for science and technology research and education. Specializes in the investigation of the interaction of intense radiation with matter.
• Rochester Center for Biomedical Ultrasound  - University facility created to unite professionals from the medical and engineering communities to investigate the use of very high frequency sound waves in medical diagnosis and treatment.
• Skalny Center for Polish and Central European Studies  - Academic venue for teaching and research focusing on the historical legacy and current transformations within Central Europe.
• Susan B. Anthony Institute  - Gender and Women's Studies center named in honor of the nineteenth-century suffragist who led the successful campaign to have women admitted to the University of Rochester.
• W. Allen Wallis Institute of Political Economy  - Collaborative endeavor aimed at promoting research and teaching in the area of political economy.
• Wireless Communications and Networking Group  - Conducts research spanning all layers of the network protocol stack.
