University of Maryland Political Organizations

• College Park Libertarians  - UMD student chapter of the Libertarians. Promotes awareness on the Libertarian party and establishes a network of students who are interested in meeting like-minded people.
• College Republicans  - SGA-sponsored campus group dedicated to furthering the principles of individual responsibility, limited government, and free enterprise.
• Graduate Student Government (GSG)  - Official GSG website presents information on the organization's activities, policies, student and financial affairs, and services.
• Maryland Student Legislature  - Incorporated nonprofit organization that participates in mock Congress sessions (modeled after the Maryland General Assembly) with other Maryland schools.
• Student Global AIDS Campaign  - College Park chapter of the National SGAC, a US-based network of student and youth organizations committed to the global fight against AIDS.
• Students And Workers Unite  - Progressive group working for the welfare of students and teachers alike. Also promotes awareness on pressing social issues.
