The town of Paris, Maine originally included the present town of West Paris, then one of its villages, as well as North Paris. However, in 1957, West Paris was set off and incorporated as a separate town, and North Paris became its village. The town of Paris is now comprised of South Paris, the commercial center and larger residential area, and Paris Hill, a residential community within the township of Paris.
Paris Hill is located adjacent to the southeast corner of the small village of Paris.
