Greene is a town in Androscoggin County, Maine. Settled in 1773, and incorporated on June 18, 1788 from Lewiston Plantation, the town later gave land to Lewiston in 1852, and Webster in 1895. The Androscoggin River is its western boundary while Sabattus Lake forms most of its eastern boundary. This category lists sites within the town.
The last surviving Civil War general, Aaron S. Daggett, was born in Greene in 1837.
