• Atmospheric Resources Program  - Focuses on forest, wild land, and air pollution meteorology; including research instrumentation and mathematical modeling.
• Department of Natural Resources Management and Engineering  - Fosters research and advocacy in issues of water and atmospheric resources, forest and wildlife management, and remote sensing.
• Fisheries Management Program  - Initiative specializing in the assessment of lentic and lotic systems, population, community dynamics, fisheries habitat, fish contamination, and fish species of special concern.
• Forest Management Program  - Combined research and extension program focusing on landscape characterization and forest fragmentation.
• Wildlife Management Program  - Undertakes both applied and basic research in wildlife ecology management, education, and extension.
