Anderson, a city situated in Denali Borough, is named for Arthur Anderson, who was one of the first settlers in the area in the late 1950s. He subdivided his land into lots and sold most of the lots to workers from Clear Air Force Station, which was the location of one of the first early warning systems in the 1960s.
