Located in the northwest part of Alaska, the city of Ambler is home to a dialect of the Inupiaq language known as the Ambler dialect. More than 90% of the people in the city speak and understand the dialect, due in part to the fact that the school there still teaches it. It is in the Northwest Arctic Borough.
