The Scandinavian country of Denmark is located in Northern Europe and along with the Faroe Islands and Greenland, it forms the Kingdom of Denmark. A member of the European Union since 1973, Denmark has a constitutional monarchy together with a parliamentary system of government. Danish is the national language and the capital is Copenhagen.
