• Gurtong Trust - Peace and Media Project  - A news and information portal created to promote peace and stability among South Sudanese abroad and in Sudan itself. Includes an extensive resource covering culture, society, politics, and humanitarian and other development issues.
• International Crisis Group - Sudan  - Provides news, reports, and commentary on conflict in Sudan, the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (Naivasha Agreement), and negotiations on the developing relationship between North and South.
• The Juba Post  - Online edition of an independent English language newspaper published in Juba, covering local, national, and international news, politics, business, and sports.
• Miraya FM  - A 24-hour radio station operated by the United Nations, and broadcasting in English, Arabic, and local languages from Juba and Khartoum. Includes their schedule, online listening, news, and background to the project.
• New Sudan Vision  - An independent news portal established by Sudanese college and university students in North America; includes Sudanese, diaspora, and international news, with commentary and analysis.
• South Sudan News Agency (SSNA)  - An independent news agency reports and comments on the news and politics of Southern Sudan and the surrounding region; includes an archive.
• SouthSudanNation.com  - An independent portal for South Sudan secession and national independence since 2003; includes news, commentary, opinion pieces, letters, background and links.
• Sudan Radio Service  - An independent broadcaster of news and information in English, Arabic, and other Sudanese languages; offers news, audio digests, and their program schedule. Based in Nairobi, with bureaus in Juba and Khartoum.
• Sudan Tribune  - A news and comment portal that aims to promote plural information and democratic debate on Sudanese issues.
• Sudan Votes  - Provides news reports and commentary on politics, economy, and society in South Sudan during and since the referendum of January 2011.
