The Doberman Pinscher was originally developed in 1890 by a man named Karl Friedrich Louis Dobermann. Mr. Dobarmann was the local tax collector as well as being the person who ran the local dog pound. He set out to breed a type of dog who would help guard him during his rounds in his first job.
