The Norwich Terrier originates in the UK and is one of the smallest working dogs having been especially bred for burrowing, chasing and hunting vermin. A small energetic dog, the pricked ears are a breed characteristic differentiating the Norwich Terrier from the Norfolk Terrier. The Norwich Terrier and Norfolk Terrier were originally considered one breed.
