The Weimaraner (affectionately referred to at times as the Grey Ghost) originated in the German Republic of Weimar in the 19th century. This is a medium to large dog, muscular, easily trained and a good hunting dog. Eyes vary from pale to dark amber and the coat can be silver, roe or grey.
