The New Guinea Singing Dog was an ancient primitive canine native to the island of New Guinea. These dogs first left New Guinea in 1957 and were bred in captivity at Taronga Zoo in Sydney Australia. This dog, genetically related to the Dingo, is classified as a domestic dog sub species of Canis lupus known as Canis Lupis Dingo.
