Category Description:

Lure coursing is an activity for dogs with competitions usually exclusive to purebred sighthound breeds. It is based on actual live coursing wherein dogs hunt real game such as rabbits or hares. A mechanically operated lure is used for participating dogs to chase over a lure course (may or may not be fenced) typically 600 to 1000 yards long.
