Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disorder that can affect skin, joints, and/or internal organs. There are four forms: Systemic (affecting organs and tissues), Cutaneous or Discoid (affecting the skin), and Drug-induced (similar to Systemic and caused by certain medications) Lupus Erythematosus; and Neonatal Lupus (a rare, treatable form caused by antibodies acting on the baby in the womb).
