  • Carolinacon  - Billed as a regional technology conference, this two day event is a low budget affordable hackers convention.
  • DEFCON  - Annual hacking convention held the last week of July or first week of August. Considered one the oldest and largest hacking events.
  • HAR2009 Hacking at Random  - Once every four year international hacking convention happening that will take place in 2009. Lectures and workshops on society, technology, and (computer-) security are given.
  • HITB Security Conference Series  - Source for five tracks of training sessions with keynote speakers, and international experts.
  • The Last HOPE  - Possibly the last conference of the Hackers on Planet Earth (HOPE) due to the historic Hotel Pennsylvania in New York City being slated for demolition. Three day event with intriguing topics.
  • NOTACON  - Community driven hacker convention inspired by creativity, technology, and music.
  • Phreaknic 12  - Nashville hacking convention with a history almost as long as DEFCON's. Contests include a Wifi Race, and G33kShoot.
  • ShmooCon  - Three day convention featuring one day of speed talks, and the next two focusing on; break it, build it, and bring it on.
  • Summercon  - An invitation for all sides of the hacking debate from script kiddies, w4r3z, hackers, crackers, feds and cops, and Kevin Mitnick.
  • ToorCon  - Information security conference offering different venues each year, workshops and seminars.
