Leonard Simon Nimoy, born March 26, 1931, is an American actor, poet, director, and musician who is well-known as Mr. Spock on television's Star Trek, which ran from 1966 to 1969. His first acting job was at the age of 8, and he studied photography at UCLA. He first acted with William Shatner in a 1964 episode of "The Man From U.N.C.L.E."
