Born January 30, 1974 in Wales, actor Christian Bale first acted on independent and art house movies before becoming a Hollywood star. He was 13 when he played in "Empire of the Sun," and has since appeared in "Batman Begins," "The Dark Knight," and "Terminator: Salvation." He is well known for his temper, having been arrested for assault on his mother and sister, as well as being caught on tape in the midst of a tirade on the set of Terminator in New Mexico.
