Dan Aykroyd, born July 1, 1952, is a Canadian comedian, actor, musician, and writer and is a recipient of the Orde of Canada, that country's highest civilian order. His rise to stardom began as an original member of Saturday Night Live, with his good friend, John Belushi. He and Belushi eventually starred in the movie "Ghostbusters." Along with Belushi, he starred in the classic comedy movie "Blues Brothers."
