Rhythm and Blues refers to the music style introduced and popularized by African-Americans typically played by an ensemble composed of an instrumentalist or a lead singer, a rhythm section, and a group of voices, wind instruments, guitar, or organ. The term is also used to mean recordings developed from or music that incorporate electric blues, gospel, soul, and funk.
