The Ramones were an influential American punk rock back that began in 1974 and disbanded in 1996. Its founding members were John Cummings (Johnny Ramone), Thomas Erdelyi (Tommy Ramone), Douglas Colvin (Dee Dee Ramone) and Jeffrey Hyman (Joey Ramone). All but Erdelyi are deceased.
