"Brian's Song," starring James Caan and Billy Dee Williams, is the 191 biographical movie depicting the life and death of Brian Piccolo, a football player with terminal cancer. Brian was white and his friend Gale Sayers, a black man, helped him through his illness. It started out as an ABC Movie of the Week and was so successful, it was shown in movie theaters.
