• Bothy Ballads  - An article exploring the tradition of balladry and folk song of Buchan in north east Scotland, source of many of Francis James Child's collection.
• Glasgow Broadside Ballads  - Online archive of a special collection held by Glasgow University Library, covering nineteenth-century broadside ballads either printed or sold in Glasgow. Includes texts, music samples, and background articles.
• Tales From Scottish Ballads by Elizabeth Wilson Grierson  - Project Gutenberg provides electronic texts for a collection of tales first published in 1906.
• The Word on the Street  - The National Library of Scotland's online collection of broadsides, predecessors of the tabloid press, from 1650 to 1910. Includes an introduction and background materials, with facsimiles and transcriptions of ballads.
