Latin-American journalist, novelist and short story writer who is regarded as a major figure in the Magic Realism movement. He was born in Columbia in 1928 and was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1982.
His best known titles include "One Hundred Years of Solitude" and "Love in the Time of Cholera".
