Byron, was an English poet and a leading figure in Romanticism. He was born in London in 1788 and died in Greece at the age of 36 in 1824. His affairs and lifestyle attracted as much attention as his poetry and he was described by Lady Caroline Lamb as 'mad, bad, and dangerous to know'.
