Author, journalist, poet, screenwriter and film critic James Agee, was born in Tennessee in 1909. His autobiographical novel, A Death in the Family, won him a posthumous Pulitzer Prize. Since his death in 1955, there has been a recognition of his previously unnoticed literary merit.
