Douglas Noël Adams (11 March 1952 – 11 May 2001) was an English author, comic radio dramatist, and musician. He is most famous for his Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy which consists of five books. He also co-wrote several stories of the TV series "Dr. Who." He was an environmental activist and called himself a "radical atheist," and his fans commemorate his death on May 25, which is known to his fans as Towel Day.
