The term "manga" refers to comics and print cartoons in the Japanese language, with distinct Japan-made style or similar printed works published outside of Japan influenced by or derived from the original Japanese manga. Mangas typically follow the top-to-bottom, right-to-left reading flow but publishers and translators outside of Japan practice "flipping" or the changing of the reading direction into left-to-right to suit to the conventional reading habits of most non-Japanese readers.
