• Association of Research Institutes in Art History  - Encourages the use of scholarships in the history of art by institutions.
• College Art Association (CAA)  - Membership organization created to promote teaching and scholarship excellence in visual arts history and criticism.
• International Center of Medieval Art  - Organization founded promote and encourage the study, understanding, and appreciation of the European and Mediterranean visual arts of the Middle Ages.
