Haibane Renmei is an anime series which began as an original dojinshi comic series. and tells the story of Rakka, a newly hatched Haibane -- which is a pseudo-angel -- and other characters in the walled city of Glie, where only members of the mysterious group known as the Toga are allowed to enter or exit.
