Brain Powerd is a mecha military fiction TV anime series directed by Yoshiyuki Tomino for the shonen audience. It spans 26 episodes and is set in post-apocalyptic Earth when earthquakes and floods are afflicting the planet due to a giant alien spacecraft, known as Orphan, underneath the Pacific Ocean. Orphan poses a threat of annihilation to all of Earth's inhabitants.
