Set Up Your Basic Listing + More Benefits


Step 1: Complete Your Business Profile

  • Sign In: https://portal.botw.org
  • Go to Manage Listings
  • Click on Business Name or Edit Button
  • Fill out all fields. 
    • Business Summary: Content that shows on Category Page
    • About Us: Educate customers about your history, who you are, and what your mission statement is
    • Listing Service: Choose from our lit of services - the more the better
    • Products and Services: List or long form description of what you offer
    • Hours of Operation: You can split them if you are closed during the day or just click Open 24 hours is applicable 
  • Address: If you do not operate out of a office or brick and mortar location, you can hide your address here
  • Media Gallery: Add your logo and up to three photos, no larger than 2MB in size
  • Other Details: Update your year founded, # of locations, and Coupons or Specials for BOTW customers! Offer free consultations, add that here!
  • Contact Info: Add your social media pages here!


UPGRADE TO PRO OR PLUS PLAN AND WE WILL COMPLETE YOUR PROFILE, ADD ADDITIONAL LINKS TO YOUR PROFILE, GET ADDED TO MORE CATEGORIES, ADD A FAQ SECTION, AND INCREASE YOUR RANKING


Step 2: Verify Your Business Address and Phone Number


Verifying your business will increase your business score on your profile, increase your rankings on Best of the Web, and add a **Verified Badge** to your profile page


  • Sign In: https://portal.botw.org
  • Go to Manage Listings
  • Click on Business Name or Edit Button
  • Click on Trust Seal
  • Click Embed this Widget
  • Click Verify Phone: You can choose a phone call or SMS for a code to enter
  • Click Verify Address: We will mail you a postcard with a code to enter

Step 3: Add Your Trust Badge to Your Website


Your Trust Badge is a seal you add to your website that pops open with a screenshot of your website, your # of reviews and review rating, your Verification Status, the status of your website security, and your SSL certificate status


  • Sign In: https://portal.botw.org
  • Go to Manage Listings
  • Click on Business Name or Edit Button
  • Click on Trust Seal
  • Click Embed this Widget
  • Copy and paste the displayed script into your website where you want your Trust Seal to display:

Step 4: Access Your Review Management Tools


Your Basic Package comes with Review Tools to grow your online reviews by adding widgets to your website requesting reviews, and another that displays your star rating. The star rating links back to your Best of the Web profile so they can read reviews.


  • Sign into your Best of the Web account here
  • Click the Listing Reviews link on the left
  • Click the Widgets button next to the business you are managing
  • Find the Leave a Review Button box and click Embed this Widget
  • Copy and paste this script into your website where you want your widget to display
