Description of services:
Child care center serving children 6 weeks to 12 years old.
Full Day Kindergarten, Early Head Start program, Pre School for All. Infant toddler and 2's program,
Pre K program and School Age programs. We provide transportation to and from all area elementary schools. We serve 3 snacks, Breakfast and Lunch. Developmental Screening and Assessment tools such as Creative Curriculum.net are used to design Individual lesson plans for each child. In our preschool classes children use The Project approach to study science and social studies doing in depth investigations on topics such flowers, cars, boxes, rocks, apples…. The children are involved in gardening, They eat many of the things they grow in their gardens. We have an Outstanding Kindergarten reading program many of our Kindergarten children enter gifted classes after leaving TLC.
Family's have so many opportunities to volunteer, attend family events, go on field trips. They can also be involved with Our Family Advisory Board.
TLC has many community collaborative partnerships, Good Shepherd, District 130, Ceda Head Start, Erickson Institute, Salvation Army to name a few that benefit the many families we serve.

That coming to TLC is a positive experience. We have made a long term commitment to the field Patricia Forkan has been at TLC 29 years and 38 years in education. Â Patricia graduated from St.Xavier's and has a Masters degree from Loyola University. She taught 8 years in Chicago Public Schools.
