Range USA Avon

Guess we will be going to Parabellum from now on. Prices are just a touch higher than retail with big box in my experience. Usually try to source a couple other places before here, but it is right around the corner for me. Staff/environment is fine, and it is a safe place to shoot. Bought a 6 hour range pass "punch card" for Christmas, used one time and was told they would not honor it because it expired 3 months after I bought it. Pre paid range time expires? A staff member even said they had seen them accepted. Our family will not spend another dime here over the 50 dollars in value they had the ability to honor and just chose not to. That seems like a totally acceptable opportunity to use discretion and prioritize customer service over bottom line.

Highly recommend the beginners hand gun class. If you are brand new to shooting or have some knowledge, you will feel welcome. Jake the instructor did a nice job connecting with each of us and gave good one on one attention. Even with a basic understanding of handgun safety and shooting, the in person instruction helped me a lot.

You can purchase times of either 30 mins or an hour and you can rent guns between 9mm, 45, Shotguns or Assault Rifles!

Normally a box of bullets will cost anywhere between $20 & higher and you will also have to purchase glasses & ear plugs IF you do not already have some!

You will need your Driver’s License/ID to participate so please come prepared!

They will also go through pre-cautionary measures as well before shooting IF it is your first time shooting!

Range USA Avon and Jake the instructor on Saturday May 23rd is a great place to learn and practice shooting. Jake is a wealth of information and has a great attitude toward education of beginner students with an interest in handgun safety.

I was in Avon earlier and decided to drop by. I rented a Glock 19 to try to see if I would like it.

I am transgender and felt this was a very inclusive place. Nobody harassed me or asked any dumb questions. It was business oriented and I like that.

The range safety officer was very helpful. I have only shot handguns a hand full of times, so I needed a refresher. He helped give me a quick rundown of how the gun works.

On a side note, they didn't seem to have the Sig SP2022 that I was curious about trying, but I still had a blast getting to rent that Glock.

Do not come here if it's your first time shooting. They won't teach you how to do it and they will suggest you a class before going there.

I learned so much at the beginners class. Jeremy is an excellent instructor and explained everything clearly. I look forward in continuing on to the more advanced classes.

I've been to the Greenwood location & the west side location. Made purchases at both & used the range on the west side. All of my experiences were fair, nothing extraordinary & nothing negative. The times have affected everyone's stock, demand , staffing, etc. Nice, clean, new buildings. My question is.....why is the west side location referred to as "AVON"? No other business in that area is. On paper it may come across or sound better, but as far as I know it's not. That's not an Avon Kroger, Culver's, Get Go, Auto Zone, etc. And even if there's some technicality, it comes across as misleading.
