John A. Lundin, Psy.D., Psychologist in Oakland, CA | Psychotherapist and Counselor providing Child & Adolescent therapy and counseling for adults and parents for anxiety issues & Depression. I obtained my doctorate in clinical psychology (Psy.D.) from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, and completed by Predoctoral Internship at the The Karen Horney Clinic in New York, NY, and my Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Department of Psychiatry at the Children's Hospital of Oakland. I have taught child and adult therapy at clinics throughout the Bay Area and lectured at graduate schools and for groups of parents and children and elementary and high schools on topics ranging from grief and loss, to psychological obstacles to success. My training and experience with individuals from a wide variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds allows me to be of help to you even though we may come from different backgrounds ourselves. I am sensitive to the different life experiences people bring into the office as ethnic minorities, or who come from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. I have particularly extensive experience with clients of African American descent.
