Our Wedding was outdoor on a mountain and it was WET and WINDY! Joe found ways to make all the pics clear and beautiful! He scouted out locations for weather and took AMAZING pics! During the ceremony he climbed all over that mountain to create beautiful photos. He clearly understands light, color, and perspective. In his photos I feel beautiful and our venue appears stunning! I could post so many pics, but it would be unfair to Joe!

I also want to note that Joe was tireless! He was committed to the process for so many hours with a bright and enthusiastic demeanor. He certainly outlasted the bride! Thank you Joe for seeing us through my special day, even if it was a driving mist a mile high! :D

I got my high school senior pictures taken with Joe. I flew into Raleigh from Phoenix just for these pictures, and they were amazing! He has such a fun and easygoing personality which made the process really enjoyable. We went around the Duke Gardens, which was a beautiful place by itself. Yet, he managed to make sure that every picture encapsulated both me and the scenery around me. The resulting pictures blew me and my family & friends away. He knows what he is doing, and captures everything in such a beautiful way. I purchased all of my photos digitally, which was so worth it. This shoot is something that I will remember forever!

Joe Payne managed to make my skeptical, camera-shy daughter love not only the experience of shooting her Senior pictures, but the results as well. From the first contact through his website to subsequent (and numerous) emails, Joe was prompt and courteous, and managed to put this anxious mama at ease.
His warm and friendly personality set the tone for the photo shoot, and allowed my daughter to relax. He really listens to what you want, however is not shy to express his thoughts - he is the professional, after all. Whatever you do, please TRUST him and the process - he knows what he is doing. Joe's quirky humor made the photo shoot very enjoyable.
Also, please save yourself the anguish of having to pick and choose between photos, and purchase the package that gives you all of the digital images. I promise that you will want them all. Joe is the only person we will be using for any of our family photos going forward. Our younger daughter, who is a freshman, cannot wait to have her Senior pictures taken by him!

I did a ton of research and spoke to multiple photographers before confirming Joe, and I was so happy with the decision! Joe is an amazing photographer and so easy to work with. I definitely recommend him to others!

Joe is such a great photographer, and amazing to work with! I don't usually like being in front of a camera, but he takes away the awkwardness, makes you laugh and feel at ease. He has a great eye for detail, and takes beautiful photographs. I highly recommend him!

I cannot say enough great things about Joe. From the moment my now-husband and I booked him for our wedding, and continuing on past the day, he has been so much fun to work with and SO helpful. Most importantly, his photographs are incredible. Joe is a true artist and catches the mood and emotions of your day. We just got our wedding pictures back and they are so beautiful. Joe is an absolutely brilliant photographer. I was first drawn to his beautiful shots that captured the essence and moments of the most important day for couples. The photos were one of the most important things for me because while the memories may fade, your pictures will be forever.

When we met Joe in person, his personality was infectious and I knew that he would be wonderful to work with. Joe is fun, adventurous, and really wants the best for his couples. I never expected to have EVERY SINGLE photo be one that I could treasure forever. The photos are just breathtaking.

I am not sure how I came across Joe's website but when I did and saw his work I knew he was going to be the photographer for us. He was punctual and patient because I was a bit hungover from the night before. He was so accommodating of our delayed schedule and took it in stride. He was everything we hoped for and we are so very pleased with how all of the photos turned out. My husband and I would 200% recommend Joe Payne Photography for any of your photography needs!!

Just say yes! Joe was incredible throughout the entire wedding planning process. He was wonderful to communicate with and always more than helpful. He jumped right in during a chaotic wedding day and was able to capture incredibly beautiful moments. His photos are truly lovely and I feel so lucky to have them to remember our wedding day!
