For a company that promotes itself as being fair I found that DJ Records puts their profits above customer satisfaction. Their buyer made my collections his last stop on his tour of buying. When he arrived he announced that he had a full van and was aware that I had nearly 2000 albums and hundreds of 45's that I wished to sell. After several hours the buyer cherry picked what I had in the way of albums and took all of the 45's for a total payout of $260. As a collector of vinyl over the past 50 plus years I would never recommend this company to the serious collector.

We’re sorry that you were unsatisfied with our services. Yes, our buyer’s van was mostly full upon arrival due to previous purchases of large collections that day. We always do our best to arrive with enough room in our vehicle to purchase each collection, but a severe snow storm prevented us from being able to travel 90 miles back to our warehouse to unload before visiting you. Our buyer did make you aware of this situation upfront, and let you know that he would have to return to pick up the remainder of your records at a later date. You did not seem to take issue with this, and appeared enthused to sell us the records which our buyer could fit in his vehicle. However, after the deal was made and our buyer was loading, you seemed to have a change of heart. Our buyer asked if there was something he could do to make you satisfied with the transaction, but you did not offer a solution. Again, we’re sorry that you were unsatisfied with our services. Customer satisfaction is very important to us.

This Review will be Honest , just like Ron was when he came to see what we had to offer. I was in charge of helping an 82+ move from house to an apartment and inheriting i think it was around 1500+ records consisting of jazz, rock and roll, big band , and some singles . Not knowing what we had on our hands i did a ton of research and even visited some local shops here is Vegas to finally come across DJ Records with the best reviews. After sending a quick e mail explaining my situation i was contacted by phone and asked to send a small picture with list to give them an idea of what they might be interested in. After i sent the e mail i was told to expect a phone call in the near future regarding a buyer being in my area ... which is super amazing they fly out to you!! about a month or so later i got confirmation that a buyer would be in the area and they asked if i was still interested in selling which of coarse i was. Ron was amazing he came to the house taking his time counting and looking at each album spent about a good 2 hours or so with a 15 min break cause there was so many.. after the last record was looked at he sat and thought about a fair price but asking us first. we were honest with him and really had no idea what to ask for so he stated a totally fair price that we agreed on. He came completely prepared with his own boxes and tape which was a huge help really the whole experience was amazing. one thing i can suggest to buyers is please be patient with him and its a huge help to have a dolly handy to help him out . so all in all 10 out of 10 and in some cases crank is up to 11!! lol spinal tap. Thank you again Ron !!!

I'm the executor of an estate that had a huge record collection. When the university inheriting the albums couldn't accept the bequest due to storage problems, I began looking for a buyer. DJ Records was recommended to me by the appraiser I'm working with and I couldn't be happier with the experience. After emailing DJ Records, they quickly contacted me and scheduled an appointment to review the collection. Their driver, Eric, arrived on time, was efficient, knowledgeable and pleasant. A very fair offer was made and accepted. I received a wire transfer for the full amount within minutes. Their administrative support was great to deal with as well, and kept me informed each step of the process. I highly recommend DJ Records!

They pick 2% of your album collection and pay only $1.00 for each album they can make a profit on.
Re: They pick 2% of your albu ... DJ Records replied on Friday, May 3rd 2019

Mr. Matuszewski -- apparently bored after reviewing every fast food restaurant, park, zoo, senior center, hospital, insurance agency, pond (!!! yes, a pond) and church (not making this up) he could find -- decided to reflect on our visit to his home nearly five months ago. It’s nice of him to have given us two stars, as we can take some consolation in having narrowly missed his coveted three star reviews which are reserved for the likes of Home Depot, Verizon, Best Buy, Friendly’s, Auto Zone, Little Caesar’s, etc. If you have records to sell, you will find that we make nearly everyone happy. We come to you and make you an offer that you are under no obligation to accept. Your records may be worth $10 apiece, or, yes, they may be worth $1 apiece. Not all records are valuable. So give us a shot. Or you could take your advice from a “local guide” who steers you to KFC (“Good service.i like the chicken.”) and a local pond (“a quiet place in a somewhat wooded area across from the creek.her in the pond,i saw a giant frog !”).

I'd recently came into a large record collection, and I needed to sell it, because I really didn't have to room to store it. The DJ Records folks came over, and looked through it. I'm not a dummy when it comes to record prices, I figured they'd come over and low ball me. But, I knew I had some gems, and I was surprised that they were honest enough to tell me that... offered me a fair price for everything. Everyone was really cool. They took the records and I was happy with the money, what more could I have asked for?

Total waste of time. They will come and pick out 1% ie. the cream of the crop, offer $1 per item and leave. Total misrepresentation. If you don't believe me then set an appointment and see for yourself. They don't buy classical, world, gospel or any 45's from the 70's and newer. Exactly the opposite of what they say. Repeat : they are not buying anything except the best of the best of your collection for $1 each. Good luck with this crew. And if you read the reviews they are all the same. The first sentence is always the same. They use the word "experience" in the first sentence every time. Draw your own conclusion but it's the same review over and over seemingly with just a different name.

We buy records from many hundreds of people each year. Generally, people are very happy with how many records we buy and what we pay; our numerous positive reviews are a testament to this. However, we realize we can’t please everyone. Some prospective sellers may happen to have records that are of little or no value, and some sellers may also have records in poor condition. We don’t claim to buy every record we encounter; in fact, we have an entire page on our web site entitled “What We Don’t Buy.” We always try to accommodate our customers’ needs and desires. Our goal is to purchase as many records as possible and pay as much as we can for them — often this is much more than $1 each. It’s not uncommon for us to pay in the range of $5 and $10 or more for more desirable titles. Please do take this gentleman’s advice and see for yourself. If you have a quality collection, we’ll be able to make you happy enough to leave us a glowing review. If, however, your collection consists of scratched Village People, Barbara Streisand and Neil Diamond records, well then, we can’t make you any promises . . .
