About Cornelius Nursery
Cornelius Nursery on Voss Road in Houston opened May 1, 1962. In July of 2008 it was temporarily closed due to a fire. Fortunately, no employees or customers were injured. The Voss Road Garden Center was rebuilt and opened again on November 27, 2009. The Voss Road team offers specialty seasonal décor, premium plants and garden goods, expert Texas garden advice and an easy shopping experience. At Cornelius Nursery, we're not just a garden center. We offer seasonal items 12 months out of the year. We specialize in gift selections and custom designs including bow making.

Calloway's offers a variety of gardening products including: flowering annual and perennial plants, trees, shrubs, vines and interior house plants. The company also sells gardening-related products such as imported pottery, tools, fertilizers, soil amendments, mulch and potting soil. In the fall, Calloway's has the largest selection of specialty pumpkins, squash and gourds. During the Christmas season, the company sells fresh-cut trees, living trees, premium Poinsettias, wreaths and garland. In Houston, the Cornelius Nursery stores offer a complete gift shop including custom arrangements, including Christmas wreaths and centerpieces, artificial trees and may decorative items throughout the year.

Great plants and enjoy the nursery but customer service is to be desired. I’ve been a loyal customer for years but when you call or are in the store to even ask questions about landscaping it’s as if you’re bothering the staff. It’s not easy to drive to the nursery so today I called and spoke to Barry about landscaping since I lost every I purchased from Cornelius last year. He was very dismissive and said he didn’t have time to deal with me because he has other customers waiting. I am not sure what I was in his mind but I think it might be time for me to go elsewhere.Report
