Community Hospital opened in 1977 and is a critical access hospital providing Goshen County residents with cancer care, orthopedics, emergency care, heart care, intensive care and surgical care, rehabilitation services, and obstetrics.

Community Hospital professionals pride themselves on providing excellent medical care to residents in southeast Wyoming and bordering Nebraska communities. We strive to care for our patients, their families and friends as neighbors would, with thoughtfulness and respect.

Community Hospital continues to build on a tradition of excellent patient care while offering the latest in healthcare technology. Our digital mammography offers women the latest in technology to best detect breast cancer in early stages. In 2010, the hospital built a 3,700-square-foot, state-of-the-art emergency department. In 2014, the hospital added the Telestroke program to give stroke patients the fastest care possible.

Along with an electronic medical records system, Community Hospital also offers an intelligent OB program, a computerized system designed to reduce the chances of complications during labor and delivery. In 2014, Community Hospital completed an expansion that included two private labor and delivery suites, new operating room for women's services, nurses's stations, triage room and additional post-partum room.

Our nurse to patient ratio (1:3.1) is considered to be one of the best in the nation, and our highly trained nursing staff is dedicated to providing our patients with personalized excellent care. The hospital has nearly 200 employees on staff, making it one of Goshen County's largest employers.
