Big Bear Vacations

This is the second time we have come up to Big Bear and rented a property with Big Bear Vacations. Our rental cabin was at Lagunita Lane and had a beautiful lakefront/lagun view. We came last summer and the lagun was filled with birds and ducks, this time it's pretty much snowed over but it is a beautiful view. The staff are very friendly and they will get you a great weekend getaway rental cabin. The property itself is in great condition, fairly old but cozy for the area. Especially during the winter.

They were so unorganized they lied to us they messed up on our booking sending us to the wrong cabin and the agency was responsible for paying the difference of the wrong cabin that they send us and they came up to a lie that people that booked that cabin were arriving to the cabin for us to get out of there and for them to not pay the difference they had said to us the money was going to be refunded when they told us to get out and I contact them again and they said they never said that so unprofessional, by the way the owner of the cabins was so nice and more helpful!

They are not organized at all they lie to us they messed up giving us the wrong cabin! When they gave us the address to the cabins it was a complete mess they gave us the wrong number to the cabin we were outside in the cold looking for the cabin that looked like the one in the pictures because the one that they send us was completely different, they said we could stay on the cabin for our day the we booked it that we were not going to pay for the difference the next day they called us to get out to move to the cabin that we booked because there was people coming in to stay it but that was a lie they wanted us the get out so they wouldn't have to pay the difference for the wrong cabin when we were already had been told we that we were able to stay there for the days that we booked it we had to pack everything back and moved to the other cabin it was a Headache dealing with this never booking with them again

Big bear lake is one of my fav spots. Lots to do if you plan ahead. If you are from OC or LA area and looking to buy, give me a call. I can guide you to find the perfect location!

Rented Little Bear Cabin. The cabin itself was nice. The couches were filthy with broken springs. Placed a blanket over them just to sit. The bed has 2 large indentations, needs to be replaced. The heater wall unit made noise the entire time we were there. This was a bday getaway that was supposed to be relaxing but we ended up leaving early because we were exhausted due to not enough sleep and rest.

Veronica, we are so sorry to hear about your experience and have tried reaching out via phone and email in an effort to make this right. We had our inspectors look at the couches, heater and evaluate the mattress in the unit. We are so sorry that we were not made aware of these issues while you were staying with BBV and allowing the opportunity to create a better stay. We care about our guests and always want the best for their stay. We look forward to hearing from you to resolve this issue.

I stayed at Vikings Estates and didn't have a great experience on my family trip. The place was in poor unclean conditions, pool and tennis courts were unavailable and contacting Big Bear rentals for remediation was unhelpful. We attempted to resolve this the day of, during the stay and after. I never received a call from management after several attempts. I rarely complain and or write bad reviews.. But this one is pretty blatant lack of service

Christian, We are very sorry for your experience as the pool and tennis courts were not part of the amenities of the property. Our team reached out and there was a refund issued for the stay along with a pool solution at Shore Acres Lodge. We are very sorry and do not like to hear of experiences like this.

Started out rough. The first cabin had mold in the bathroom, nor much of a lake view and was very small. We were upgraded the next day and had a good experience. Some updates would be nice. But, overall was nice. Photos of 2nd cabin.

Cynthia, Woo-hoo! Grateful we were able to make your stay a 4-star and glad to hear the team was able to get you into another cabin that you were pleased with. We are here to serve our guests and glad to hear you had a nice stay.

Extremely dishonest and shady habits! Arrived with family, told card was declined and reservation cancelled, so we went to a different place and a week later a charge for 520$ appeared on our bank statement! They charged us for a room we never used, that they cancelled reservation on. Now, they have no recall of the reservation, finally after much conversation, they were able to locate they charge but cannot give a clear answer as to why or when the money will be refunded!

This was resolved and the money was returned. When a refund is issued it typically takes 3 - 4 business days to see it post on the account. We are very sorry this occurred, our team reached out and made it right.
